Building A1

The Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at Brno University of Technology (BUT) is one of the oldest and largest faculties in the Czech Republic. Established in 1900, it has a long tradition of technical education and innovation. Located in the Pod Palackého vrchem campus in Brno’s Královo Pole district, the faculty offers a modern environment for research and learning. Its landmark is the 74-meter-high A1 building, constructed between 1974 and 1984 and renovated in 2013–2015. The faculty serves as a key hub for engineering education, providing state-of-the-art facilities for students and researchers.

Assembly Hall (Aula Q)

The entire infrastructure of the Emerging Technology Forum (ETF) is centered in Assembly Hall Q (Aula Q) and its adjacent spaces within building A6, 2. floor. Upon entering the Building A1, participants will complete their registration at the reception areanear to the cloakroom. All keynote speeches and panel discussions will take place in the modern and spacious Assembly Hall Q (Aula Q). The foyer of Assembly Hall Q (Aula Q) will serve as a dynamic networking space, featuring refreshments and company presentations. With its well-organized layout, the venue provides a fostering interaction, knowledge exchange, and collaboration.

Parking

During the ETF, designated parking areas adjacent to Building A1 will be reserved for forum participants from XX to XX:

  • A total of 42 parking spaces are available at the renovated parking lot in front of the high-rise building A1of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, BUT.
  • The parking space on U Vodárny Street offers XXX spaces.

These facilities ensure convenient and accessible parking options for attendees throughout the event. Parking outside the designated areas is not recommended, as drivers risk receiving a parking fine.

Parking in front of the A1 building

Bus

The stop, called “Technická” is served by bus number 72. The bus stop is located directly in front of Building A1, just a few meters away.

Tram

The tram stop, named “Červinková” is served by tram number 12, which runs from Brno Main Train Station. The stop is approximately a 10-minute walk from Building A1, providing another convenient option for reaching the venue.

Barrier-free

Access to Aula Q is fully barrier-free, ensuring convenience for all participants, including those with limited mobility. The building features ramps, elevators, and wide entrances, allowing easy movement throughout the venue.
