The Institute of Aerospace Engineering comprises a young and progressive team of professionals. It is part of Brno University of Technology, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. Being one of the fourteen institutes, the main focus of our institute is aviation.
Our primary mission is to provide education in the Professional pilot Bachelor’s degree programme and mainly in the follow-up Master’s degree programme of Mechanical Engineering in the study programme Aerospace Technology in the specializations of Aircraft Design and Airtransport and Aeroport Technology. Those interested in studying in English are offered a two-year master’s degree programme Aerospace Technology, the content of which corresponds to the specialization of Aircraft Design. Part of the education is to provide specialized courses and pilot training at the VUT Pilot academy up to the Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL).
As for research, the Institute provides education in the form of postgraduate doctoral programme in the field of Design and Process Engineering as part of the Machines and equipment programme. The research activities constitute a range of significant research and development projects.
Last but not least, we also provide commercial services mostly in aviation technology development, equipment testing in an approved laboratory and consultation services.
