After one year of preparations, we hosted 13th Research and Education in Aircraft Design and 14th European Workshop on Aircraft Design Education international conferences. The events took place from 7th to 9th November 2018. During two days of various technical sections, about sixty-five participants from more than five countries used an opportunity to show their research to the international audience. The audience was also informed of the latest advances in aerospace industry and research by the invited lecturers from leading aerospace companies. The conference ended with the visit to the GE Aviation Czech giving the possibility to see a little bit of state-of-the-art turboprop engine production.
The attractiveness of the conference was increased by opportunity to publish special issue of Aircraft Engineering and Aerospace Technology journal devoted to the READ & EWADE 2018 as well as the conference proceedings evaluated by the Web of Science. The process of papers evaluation for the proceedings is still ongoing with the expected finish by end of the year 2018. The online publication of the proceedings is assumed to be in January 2019.
We believe that this successful year of READ & EWADE conferences will be followed in the same manner by the partner institution organizing upcoming events.
