On March 12, 2015, the new VUT 081 Kondor aircraft prototype completed its maiden flight at Ostrava Airport. This project builds on the VUT 051 Ray, which first flew six months earlier. The aircraft features a low-wing, tandem, two-tailed configuration and is primarily designed for surveillance missions.
Developed under the TIP project, the VUT 081 Kondor was created in collaboration with JIHLAVAN airplanes, RAMET, and Air Jihlava – Service, with support from the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic.
