The Airtransport and Aeroport Technology study specialization focuses on training future operation engineers and managers in Air Traffic Control and Aircraft Maintenance, airdrome operation and aviation safety equipment necessary for securing the safety and reliability of commercial airline traffic and other aviation activities.
Acquired skills and knowledge
A graduate in the Airtransport and Aeroport Technology study specialization will acquire technical knowledge of aircraft design, aircraft reliability, aircraft instruments, aircraft maintenance and repair. Students will also gain knowledge of business and economic disciplines related to air traffic, safety assurance and transfer output of an aviation company.
Admission requirements
The entry requirements are: – Mechanical Engineering Bachelor’s degree at the FME or similar programme studied at another faculty – entry written test (unless waived by the dean) – good study results in the Bachelor’s programme particularly in Mathematics and Physics – good knowledge of electrical engineering and electronics, mechanics, production technology, informatics and information processing – strong motivation to study. Graduates in the „Professional pilot“ Bachelor’s branch can also apply.
A career
Graduates in the Airtransport and Aeroport Technology study specialization can work in operational, technical and economical services of civil aviation.
